The Era and The Individuality

The exhibition "The Era and The Individuality" introduces the works of senior and mid-career artists who, while inheriting the long tradition of "painting," have approached and explored the themes of our time with innovative perspectives. Despite the emergence of various media such as photography, moving images, and interactive installations in the visual arts genre for a long time, painting remains perhaps the most visually significant among all these media, thanks to its enduring tradition.

The mid-career and senior artists participating in the "The Era and The Individuality" exhibition are those who, while carrying on the tradition, still possess a vision for the future. This exhibition is expected to provide an opportunity to introduce outstanding artists representing the current state of contemporary Korean art to the local community.
