Greetings from the Haeden Museum.
We are pleased to announce the Haeden Museum 2025 Special Exhibition II, titled "Nostalgia, Drawing."
This exhibition showcases artists who have consistently engaged in creative endeavors centered around the Incheon and Ganghwa regions, exploring the layers and experiences of memories, emotions, and time from their homes through their distinctive artistic expressions. In this exhibition, "Nostalgia" transcends a mere longing for a physical space, evolving into a domain where the archetypal memories of life reside, thereby creating an artistic utopia. The exhibition seeks to illustrate how local identity permeates and expands within each artist's unique perspective and thought process without being constrained by the framework of locality.
A total of 12 artists are participating, including Ko Je-min, Kim Yong-cheol, Kim Joo-ho, Do Ji-sung, Park Sang-hee, Park Jin-hwa, Seok Cheol-ju, Lee Ganghwa, Lee Gye-won, Lee Hu-chang, Jung Soo-mo, and Choi Jung-sook.
Visitors will have the opportunity to appreciate works that explore their memories and experiences from various perspectives, as well as the artistic orientation that is formed in the process. This exhibition provides insight into how each artist's perspective on life and history extends to artistic reflection. "Nostalgia, Drawing" represents the first collaborative exhibition with local artists that the Haeden Museum is undertaking.
This exhibition is a significant step towards establishing a new foundation that will promote the value and potential of local art and further archive visual art. It is anticipated that this exhibition will effectively convey the power of art to the local community and to all museum visitors.
